The West 1077 Guest Ranch allows free access to the Hill Country State Natural Area right next door! It's a unique opportunity for nature lovers to explore this pristine natural setting, with over 40 miles of trails you can hike and spot local wildlife. The ranch itself also has plenty of hiking and biking trails, as well. You can also take in the countryside on horseback; our horseback riding partners in Bandera offer personalized horseback riding experiences!

The shared lodge is open 24/7, and features a pool table, ample seating, fireplace, fire pit, ice machine, free beverages, and a hearty complimentary country breakfast every morning! For other meals, guests are invited to use the grills, or check out nearby Bandera and their great culinary options. Beat the heat in the crystal-clear pool, surrounded by tanning chairs and a shaded cabana! There's plenty to do here, in a peaceful and refreshing setting.

Buckeye Room #4 has its own rustic personality, highlighted by rich woodwork and furnishings. Two sturdy wood-framed queen-sized beds offer peaceful slumber for up to four, and clean bed and bath linens are provided, as well. This cozy guest room includes a mini fridge, a dining nook for two, and a full bath with a roomy shower stall. Heat and AC units, and a ceiling fan, keep your space nicely climate-controlled, and there's also a walk-out deck (shared with your neighbors) where you can savor those Hill Country views-not to mention a picnic area and tree-mounted hammock!

INGRAM, TEXAS: THE HILL COUNTRY’S ROCK TOWN

HUNT, TEXAS: CAMPERS’ RENDEZVOUS

Just east of Hunt in the heart of the Texas Hill Country, you’ll find a marker erected in 2005 that discusses the history of the town and its vicinity. Hunt itself is located 13 miles west of Kerrville, at the junction of the north and south forks of the Guadalupe River. As the historical marker states, the town of Hunt is the ultimate result of three different communities that were founded in more or less the same place!

KENDALIA, TEXAS: HERD WORK & HOEDOWNS

The Hill Country town of Kendalia is near the Guadalupe River, about halfway between Blanco and Boerne as the crow flies. It’s one of the smaller towns in the region; its population has hovered around 100 the past several decades, and when you count the ranchers and rural dwellers in its ZIP code that number increases to about 350. Nonetheless, Kendalia has a fascinating history all its own.
