Property Type : Houses

Property Description

This one's a gem! If you're looking for a roomy vacation rental for up to ten people, all in the setting of a waterfront cabin getaway with stunning views of the Texas Hill Country, well-let us introduce you to the River Ridge Cabin! Everything about this place is generous: the amenities, the roster of things to do (both along the Medina River and in nearby Bandera), the welcoming and comforting space inside, and more. Your family and friends will rave about this hideaway spot for years!

There are plenty of cabins for rent in Bandera County, but none with the room, ambiance, river access, and amenities like you'll find here! This kid-friendly getaway is the perfect spot for your next family gathering, with sleeping room for up to ten people, and entertaining space for more. The River Ridge Cabin offers breathtaking views indoors and out, with its riverside setting and vibrant Hill Country vistas.

Your perch overlooking the banks of the Medina-complete with private river access-provides the perfect setting for tubing, fishing, wildlife watching, and just relaxing. (please note; there are semi-steep rock stairs leading down to the meadow and the river is a 5 minute walk from the house). With an open-air porch, screened-in porch, breezeway, and fire pit gives you almost endless entertainment options, and there's a charcoal grill out back, too. This location is a perfect jumping-off spot for scenic tours of the surrounding Hill Country, and there's covered parking available for several vehicles.

The layout here is unique; the porch divides the cabin into two sections. Up front, there's the comfy living area with a fireplace; a full kitchen; a bedroom with a king-sized bed; and a full bath with a tub/shower combo. In the back, you'll find the master bedroom with a king-sized bed, a full bath with a shower and Jacuzzi tub, and a double bunk bed bedroom. There's restful sleeping space for up to ten guests here, and clean bed and bath linens are provided. The kitchen is generously appointed, and there's even an island bar that seats ten. Rounding out your amenities are a satellite TV and DVD player, a washer/dryer combo, and window AC units and space heaters. While there is Wifi Internet service available, please be aware its strongest in the front section of the cabin.

One call to Backroads Reservations, and you'll soon be enjoying one of the most beautiful riverfront cabins in Bandera! One visit, and you'll want to come back again and again to this peaceful and spacious Medina River hideaway.

What’s in a Name: Nameless, Texas

About five miles northeast of Lago Vista, and three north of Jonestown, you’ll find remnants of an interesting Hill Country ghost town. Nameless, Texas, never reached even 100 residents, and its overall history was fairly ordinary, but at the heart of its history is one of the most frustrating examples of governmental bureaucracy you’ll find anywhere.

Everything was amazing, extremely clean and very well kept. The views were gorgeous. We felt right at home as soon as we arrived. The hosts were very kind, polite and attentive. We loved feeding the deer and walking the property. Bandera is such a cute town with so many activities to enjoy. The house was a perfect location as well. We will definitely be back!

Our family really enjoyed our time at the River Cabin. It was so peaceful sitting out on the back porch in the mornings and watching the deer and birds through the living room windows in the evening. The house layout worked out great for our family, it’s spilt into two hours and gave privacy to the families. Backroads Reservations communicated very well with us and provide tons of information about the area. We will deft be back!

We had a wonderful mini vacation here. The cabin was cozy and welcoming with very lovely decor. We enjoyed watching the birds and wildlife (deer, armadillo, squirrels, and raccoons) come and go across the property. We loved going down to the river and then coming back to relax on the back porch and make s’mores on the fire pit. We couldn’t have had a better time. This was our first time in Bandera. We had takeout from the China Bowl and The Dough Joe. Both were very good. We also went hiking at the Hill Country Natural State Area. It was beautiful. This is a great place for families and an area rich with local history and beautiful landscapes. Our host was great at communicating important information and we loved the extra precautions to ensure that we had a safe stay. We’d love to visit again!

Was a great experience for my boys. Downfall was my parents couldn't experience their grandchildren by the river. We still had fun over the weekend.

Super spacious and comfortable!! It is accurate to say this is a ‘home away from home.’ House is quiet and private from surrounding homes. Watching deer eat corn in the front yard was very peaceful and entertaining! I would love to stay here again next year!

the place is very nice the view is also good stairways a bit steep for older people young maybe not so much but shaded as you go down to the river the kitchen is very spacious for people who like to cook I did like the stove and plenty of room in the refrigerator and pantry of room on the Island great for all of your stuff the house is in a perfect spot to where you can do a 2 and 1/2 hour River Ride walk up to the house grab a bite to eat and if you'd like you can take another 2 and 1/2 hour to the park and drive back to the house the house is about a halfway point perfect we very much enjoyed our stay there
