It's packed with western history, great places to eat and shop, entertaining nightlife, and it's close to both the tubing fun of the Medina River and the Hill Country State Natural Area. One of those nightlife spots, the popular 11th Street Cowboy Bar, is right across the alley from the Tarpley Suite in the Carriage House Inn. It's the perfect place for two for your Bandera getaway!

The Tarpley Suite sleeps two people, but we'd like to bring to your attention that the Carriage House Inn provides comfort for up to 25 guests! Behind the inn is an area shared with fellow guests. The back yard features a charcoal-fired BBQ pit for cowboy-style feasts, an outdoor fireplace around which you can share stories, and plenty of chairs and tables. String lights give your nighttime activities a special sparkle. The shaded porch up front is furnished with Adirondack chairs, a porch swing, and a great view of the vintage Wild West-era carriage on the property. The Carriage Inn is both kid-friendly and pet-friendly; you're more than welcome to bring a small and well-behaved dog along! First-come, first-served covered parking is provided for the inn rooms, and additional street parking is available.

A private stairway leads up to the Tarpley Suite, decorated with nostalgic and historical cowboy-era antiques. You'll also enjoy modern conveniences, such as efficient AC and heating units, along with tech and entertainment extras like Wifi service and a satellite TV. The suite's full kitchen features a stove and oven combo, fridge, microwave, and coffee maker, as well as pots, pans, glasses and utensils.

Location for the win! We have a camp house in Medina that we usually stay at for the weekend but have grown tired of driving back and forth. Communication was really good.

We loved the location. We could walk to the Bandera River park. It was Christmas time so we walked through the light display. We loved being able to walk to the historic district for shopping, food and bars. We would've loved to have had a fire in the backyard but it was cold and very windy the night we planned to do it. Spending time in the backyard would've been a perfect activity. We brought our dog and there was plenty of places to walk her. During the day we hiked the 3 area state parks.

The property is awesome and close to shops and places to hangout! We had a blast.
