SisterCreek Ranch in Boerne

Property Description

Imagine full access to 700 sprawling and scenic acres of Hill Country beauty! For lovers of the great outdoors, the flora and fauna of SisterCreek Ranch are second to none. There are amazing mountain views every way you look and plenty of wildlife roaming the grounds. There's no better place to unplug and restore yourself! Its pleasant rural setting is far enough out to be peaceful, but is also close to the entertainment, shops, and attractions of towns like Boerne, Fredericksburg, and Comfort.

SisterCreek is a working ranch, dedicated to the breeding of Tennessee Walker trail horses. They're friendly enough, and are used to visitors, so you're free to pet them if you'd like; however, please don't feed them, for they must follow a regulated diet. Beyond the horses, there are various deer, birds, black buck, Longhorns, a chicken coop, and even ranch dogs to keep you company! Because of the diverse animal population here, visitors are not allowed to bring pets along; the only exception being horses of your own. They can board them here, and there are miles of scenic trails you can explore on foot or on horseback. Please let us know if you'd like to board a horse or two! A negative Coggins test is required. Please note horseback riding is only available at the ranch if you provide your own horses.

One unique aspect of the ranch is its meditation temple; for additional information and rates, please check with the owner for those details. For history buffs, there's an 1800s-era cemetery on the grounds that serves as the final resting place for several of the Hill Country's earliest settlers. You'll also have access to a fire pit with complementary wood, a horseshoe pit, a charcoal grill for your tasty BBQ creations, and all the breathtaking Hill Country views you can handle! Down a short path from the rental cabins is one of our guests' favorites: a bubbling, soothing hot tub! (The hot tub may be shared with other ranch guests, depending on the booking situation during your stay.)

There is live water on SisterCreek Ranch, in the form of three creeks that intersect on the property. Catch-and-release fishing is allowed on the waters, and you're invited to bring along your own kayaks, tubes, and other flotation devices you'd like to use! Keep in mind, though, the level of the water is affected by seasons and recent rainfall, so please check with us before booking for current water level information.

The ranch has its own little Western town called KickBack Flats, the centerpiece of which is Sniffy's, the owner's private saloon. Inside, you'll find comfy seating, the only TV on the rental property, a pool table, karaoke machine, shuffleboard, and even a massage chair! A lot of our visitors really enjoy the "getting-away-from-it-all" aspect of the ranch, including the fact that the guest cabins don't have TVs or Wifi service. Don't worry, though; both are available at Sniffy's. If you're interested in some kicking-back time at Sniffy's, let a staff member at the ranch know, and they'll arrange it.

The two guest cabins here at SisterCreek Ranch are virtual twins of each other, and they're simply and humorously named "First" and "Other."  Both feature roomy screened-in porches with rocking chairs for relaxing in cool Hill Country breezes. Just a couple notes about your stay here: a signed release of liability is required, and smoking is only allowed on Sniffy's front porch. Guests at SisterCreek Ranch must be at least 13 years old.

The two air-conditioned cabins sleep up to six people each, with total accommodations for up to an even dozen.  Both "First" and "Other" have a queen-sized beds (one can be made into two twins upon request) in each bedroom downstairs, and two additional twins in the loft.. In each cabin, there are two full baths which include shower and tub combos and basic toiletries. All bed and bath spaces include clean and fluffy linens as part of your stay, as well. Each of the country kitchens is generously stocked with appliances, utensils, cookware, glasses, and complementary coffee. For cooler nights, the fireplaces are stocked with firewood. Both cabins are designed for comfort with rustic woodwork and Texas-themed decor, with living spaces perfect for relaxation.

Pamper your folks with country comforts at the "First" and "Other" cabins at SisterCreek Ranch! With space for up to 12, you can bring the whole crew! Contact us at Backroads Reservations today for booking information on this wonderful Hill Country getaway!
