What guests are saying...

Marta
My family and I had an amazing time at the cabin, we even talked about coming back in the future because we loved it so much. We loved the atmosphere, the fresh air. The fact that we could literally walk to the river and have an awesome time. It was so quiet and relaxing to be there. A huge plus for us, was the privacy and how homey the cabin felt. The kids did not want to leave, they loved the fact that they could run around outside and it was safe. Oh, they loved how close the deers got to the cabin. We also got to see a few rabbits hoping around. Such a beautiful place to stay at with your family, definitely worth the drive. The host were also so kind and always checking up to make sure we were okay. Definitely felt the happy calm vibes at the cabin! Private note: We appreciate you sharing your beautiful cabin with us. We loved staying there, it’s such a neatly and well kept cabin. Thank you once again for everything.

We were needing to get away for some quiet and relaxing time and this place had it. The house was great and had everything we needed but the location was the best. We walked down to the river and sat on the back porch watching the variety of wildlife that came out to eat the corn that we threw out. Besides the whitetail, we had black buck, axis, wild pigs, and mouflon sheep. We did go for a drive through the hill country and then stopped in town at the apple store and had lunch and brought some delicious apple pie back with us. We will definitely be back when we can stay a little longer.

The house was great!! We accomplished exactly what we wanted to do this weekend....relax and unwind. We enjoyed watching the wildlife running in the fields behind the house. We did drive in the hill country for awhile and stopped at the apple store for lunch and apple pie...great little place. Wish we could have stayed longer but work always calls. Hopefully we can get back down there for some more relaxing times. thanks so much.

We absolutely loved our stay at the cabin! My little family needed a getaway and change of pace from Covid-life, and the cabin in Medina was just perfect. The enjoyed siting on the porch to watch the wildlife in the mornings and our toddler loved exploring by the river and throwing rocks in the water. The firepit was nice for evening fun too. We took a daytrip over to Lost Maples for the beautiful fall colors. The cabin was very clean and comfortable with plenty of space. Think we'll be planning another trip in the spring/summer!
Julia
We were looking for a secluded place where our family could get in some much-needed R & R while continuing to socially distance, and this place fit the bill. The private river access is beautiful, and we spent as much time as we could hanging out in the water or lazing on the shore. There are soaring cypress trees, and we were able to hang a hammock in the shade. You can drive down to the river in just a couple of minutes or make the short (lovely) walk. We saw so many deer but no other people during our entire 4-day visit. The back porch is such a great place to hang out, and we also enjoyed the fire pit. The kitchen was adequate for cooking, although the dishwasher was on the fritz while we were there. Beds were comfortable, and there was plenty of space to spread out. Our 12-year-old has already asked when we can go back!
Damian
Great place with access to the Medina and a ton of land , we cooked on the bbq pit and on the fire pit grill. Just a 40-minute drive to Lost Maples. Everything worked well and communication was fast. We had a great time
