Property Description

Looking for a budget-friendly and charming couples' getaway in the Hill Country? The Knotty Pines Cottage is located on a picturesque farm just north of Bandera, in a beautiful lakeside location! You'll be able to relax in this peaceful country cabin rental, with the shopping and nightlife of The Cowboy Capital of the World just minutes away. With plenty of laying hens on the grounds, you'll also have the option of farm-fresh eggs for breakfast; just let us know if that's something you'd like!

You'll have free access to the grounds (except the main farmhouse), which include plenty of strolling space, an above-ground pool, gas grill, fire pits, and more! It's a lakeside paradise for inspiring Hill Country views, sunsets, stargazing, and wildlife watching-and nature lovers will appreciate that Lost Maples and Hill Country State Natural Areas, Garner State Park, and access to the Medina and Guadalupe rivers, are all within an hour's drive!

The cottage itself has a cozy covered porch with glittering outdoor lighting and comfy furniture, and there's also a roomy deck that surrounds the above-ground pool, which you're free to take a dip in when it's open. There are actually two fire pits here: one by the pool, and one on the shore of nearby Morgan Lake, where the vistas and bird watching are beyond compare! Need binoculars? Let us know, and we'll provide them! There's also a gas BBQ grill on hand for great Texas cookouts.

Bright pine woodwork gives Knotty Pines Cottage its name, and its interior features French decor touches. The full country kitchen includes cutlery and cooking ware, and a cozy breakfast bar with stools. Speaking of the kitchen, don't forget those farm-fresh eggs! There's a plush queen-sized bed, and room on the living area couch for a child, providing sleeping space for up to three guests. The spotless full bath features a shower stall, and clean linens are provided for both bed and bath. Stretch out in air-conditioned comfort in the living area, and enjoy the TV with Roku and Wifi Internet service; there's even a dedicated work space in the bedroom!

The Hill Country is Wine Country!

In the past two decades or so, the wine industry in the Hill Country has exploded with growth. A Handy Hill Country Q & A

At Backroads Reservations, we’re especially aware that the Texas Hill Country is reliant in a big way on tourism. We’re proud to welcome people here, and to introduce them to our own little corner of heaven. With that said, we’re also aware that everyone can’t be from here; we have a tongue-in-cheeksaying that “I’m not from Texas, but I got here as fast as I could.”
