Property Description

On the wall inside the Farmer's Daughter Gastehause hangs a sign that says "Farm Charm." This pretty and spacious Hill Country guest home is just that: a charming home for your friends and family that comfortably sleeps up to eight. Lovingly styled and dedicated to the memory of the host's father, the Gastehause is a tribute to their family's ranching and farming legacy; it's kid friendly, and provides a peaceful country roost a short jaunt northwest of the Cowboy Capital of the World.

The Farmer's Daughter Gastehause is located on a 30-acre ranch, home to horses and two tame Longhorns named Howdy and Little Sister. If you'd like to bring your own horses along for a leisurely ride, boarding services are available for them, too; check for more details when you book. This pretty country setting is surrounded by beautiful Hill Country views, and is close to Bandera and tubing, swimming, and fishing on the Medina River.

One highlight on the property is a unique Longhorn sculpture crafted by renowned recycled-materials artist Matt Clark. A shaded front patio and open-air back patio provide ample outdoor relaxation space, and there's a smoker and BBQ grill for savory outdoor meal prep. And your folks will enjoy chatting and stargazing around the fire pit. Speaking of which, there's no better way to admire the Texas skies than in the luxurious hot tub! Your host also works on the property, but your privacy will be respected. Smoking is allowed outside only.

The welcoming warmth of farm charm fills an interior that's kept comfortable with central AC and heat. You'll find satellite smart TV and Wifi service in the roomy living area, capped off by a fascinating windmill-style ceiling fan. The home features two full baths-one with a shower/tub combo, the other a roomy shower stall-and there's an additional half-bath, too. Four bedrooms provide restful sleeping arrangements for up to eight, and clean bed and bath linens are provided throughout. The full kitchen's equipped with modern appliances, cookware, serving ware, glasses, and utensils. There's even a handy washer and dryer!

Pamper your folks with the comforting history of a genuine Hill Country ranching and farming family! Touch base with us at Backroads Reservations, and we'll help you make this beloved family home the setting for your next Bandera vacation.

You will enjoy your stay at The Farmers Daughter. Very relaxing for a family or intimate quiet place for a couple. I will book again.

Everything was GREAT! The only problem was we didn't stay long enough! the host on site was amazing.. The property was beautiful and peaceful... The house felt as if it was your own ( or wish it was ) Howdy and Sister ( The Longhorns) were very welcoming and enjoyed watching them.. We will definitely be back to visit!
