This kid-friendly and pet-friendly rental features a serene natural setting, with the Country Accents Antiques store and Backyard Bistro restaurant nearby; go antiquing and enjoy delicious dishes made with home-grown ingredients and free-range eggs. What's more, the fun and attractions of Pipe Creek and Bandera are both short drives away!

Embark with us on our amazing Hill Country Eclipse Journey! By astronomical luck, the Hill Country will be in the path of total solar eclipse on Monday, April 8, 2024. We have 125 great vacation homes in the region, covering 21 Hill Country towns, all in the eclipse "bullseye." Experience the enchantment of the darkest night skies, while witnessing the finest solar eclipse viewing in the Hill Country.

Nature lovers of all ages will be right at home in the Patriot Cabin, and it's great for romantic getaways in Pipe Creek, too! The grounds here include butterfly gardens, and guineas, pea fowl, and even a goose call this beautiful place home. Within half an hour of this location, you'll find not only scenic mountain views along the country roads, but also the pristine natural setting of the Hill Country State Natural Area. For an adventurous tubing trip, the Medina River is only minutes away!

A fence-enclosed play area is an ideal safe space for both kids and pets, and everyone can relax and soak in fresh breezes and inspiring Hill Country views from the shaded porch-with outdoor furniture provided, of course. In the mood for a snack? Whip up anything from roasted marshmallows to thick and hearty burgers and steaks around the fire pit, or on the charcoal grill. Smoking is allowed on the ground, but outside only, please.

Rustic and handsome woodwork inside and out, along with star-spangled accents throughout the cabin, help celebrate our local and national heritage. Window AC and heat units keep the cabin comfortable year-round, and for your tech needs, there's a TV with DVD player and VCR, a CD player, wireless Internet service, and cell coverage. Two plush, vintage, steel-framed beds sleep up to three people, and there's a full bathroom with a shower, too. All bed and bath linens are provided for your stay, as well. The kitchenette area includes a fridge, microwave, and regular coffee maker, and complimentary bottled water, tea, coffee, and soft drinks are stocked.

A Handy Hill Country Q & A

At Backroads Reservations, we’re especially aware that the Texas Hill Country is reliant in a big way on tourism. We’re proud to welcome people here, and to introduce them to our own little corner of heaven. With that said, we’re also aware that everyone can’t be from here; we have a tongue-in-cheeksaying that “I’m not from Texas, but I got here as fast as I could.”
