Property Description

The best amenities and scenic settings are all yours at the Clark Creek Ranch Cabin-a luxurious and natural family getaway that isn't a budget buster! This kid-friendly and pet-friendly vacation rental is beautifully remote, yet close to awesome Hill Country towns like Bandera, Medina, and Vanderpool. Perched on a picturesque 50-acre ranch, this cabin is one of the prettiest the region has to offer, with conveniences that will make your stay not only memorable, but amazingly comfortable, too.

Hill Country cabins have the advantage of being in the most scenic area of Texas. This cabin improves upon that with a relaxing creek-fed pond, great amenities, and the closeness to not only Hill Country towns, but the natural splendor of Garner State Park, and the Hill Country and Lost Maples State Natural Areas all within an hour's drive. No matter what activities and attractions you'd like on your holiday, it's all within your reach from here.

The covered front porch faces the mountainous Hill Country, and out back there's a screened gazebo tucked under oak shade trees, which also shade the outdoor patio and charcoal grill. The property includes a great swimming and relaxation spot in the pond fed by the waters of Clark Creek, and tubing, swimming and fishing on the Medina, Sabinal, and Frio rivers are also found close by. The creek depth is seasonal, so check on this detail when you book with us. The cabin is also a fantastic location for hiking, wildlife watching, and stargazing. Covered parking is on hand for your vehicles, and smoking is allowed here, but outside only.

Three A/C and heat units and ceiling fans keep the interior of the cabin perfectly comfortable. The living space features warm and homey woodwork and a wood-burning fireplace (please provide your own firewood). The full kitchen has all the cooking appliances and necessities you'll need, and there's a spacious dining area that seats eight. Two full bathrooms both include tubs and showers, and the two bedrooms have comfy sleeping accommodations for up to seven. All bed and bath linens are provided, and there's a washer/dryer combo, as well. The cabin is furnished with satellite TV, WIFI, and cell service.

Biker Rallies of Texas

Supporting and boosting local businesses and events is at the very heart of what we do at Backroads Reservations! The good folks at Biker Rallies of Texas are the devoted organizers of the most popular motorcycle rallies in the Hill Country. With major rallies in the spring and fall, they work nonstop to assure safety, organization, great memories, and a good time is had by all attending! They’ve got their start in 2000, when they arranged rallies in Liberty County and Kerrville, Texas. Two years later, they found their permanent home in Bandera. Let’s take a look at the two major events they currently host.

Boerne’s Hill Country Mile

In the hustle of modern American life, it’s easy to lose sight of an important cultural fact: it’s difficult to get everything done on your daily to-do list without a car. Too many towns have been designed with outwardly-expanding sectors of commerce that put one business or attraction miles away from another. The larger the size of the town, the more true this adage seems to be.

This stay was to celebrate my sister's 70th birthday. I chose this location because 2 of her high school friends made arrangements for lunch at The Laurel Tree and we wanted some quality time together. This was the perfect spot! The house was the perfect size and we both really enjoyed the country air. The house was clean and the beds were quite comfortable.

The perfect getaway - the cabin is nestled in some of the most beautiful hills of Texas Hill Country. The views cannot be matched, it was a serene escape. The cabin itself was just darling, had everything you need for a quick getaway to decompress or a longer stay. It is situated close to several state parks that should not be missed! Definitely recommend this great little place for the peace and quiet, and the amazing views you get while sitting in the front porch.

Clark Creek is quaint, cozy, and peaceful. And exactly what we were hoping for! The scenic drive out to the property was just the beginning of a perfect weekend getaway. We brought our two pups along for the stay. We enjoyed watching them romp around the property without a care in the world. The house is exactly as advertised - it is simple but has everything you need. We cooked breakfast tacos, brewed coffee, baked cinnamon rolls, and made pizza in the full kitchen. The master bed was super comfortable and huge! The front porch was the perfect spot to sit and have a drink to watch the sun set. We played games in the gazeebo and made a fire in the pit one night too. Hiking at Lost Maples was awesome, as it was only a 15 minute drive from the house. Finally, the communication from Spencer and Jess was top notch for sure! They made sure we had everything we needed and provided clear instructions. Thank you again for an amazing stay. We would definitely return!

The property was as advertised. It was in a good location for peace and quiet, but close enough to places in the Hill Country that we wanted to visit. The property was clean and plenty spacious for the 3 of us. I had to work some and there was absolutely no problem with connectivity. Spencer answered all of our questions very quickly prior to the trip and check in was about as easy as you can imagine. I would definitely recommend this property.

Best place we have ever stayed!

Great little place, super perfect for my 1.5 yr old because there isn't a ton of busy decorations like some places have. Only had to do minimal baby proofing. I was suuuper skeptical about the AC units, but they kept up well and I was actually cold at night. Definitely go see Lost Maples State Park and Utopia Park. It's in the perfect spot to drive but to see some really cool areas. We tried Garner State park, but it was too busy. Try to get groceries on the way in before you get to Medina because there's only a family dollar really. SO MANY DEER. We must've seen a thousand deer in four days. Nice little vacation due to hurricane Laura's mandatory evacuation. They got back to me quickly after we requested the stay. Thank you!!
