Biker Rallies of Texas

Supporting and boosting local businesses and events is at the very heart of what we do at Backroads Reservations! The good folks at Biker Rallies of Texas are the devoted organizers of the most popular motorcycle rallies in the Hill Country. With major rallies in the spring and fall, they work nonstop to assure safety, organization, great memories, and a good time is had by all attending! They’ve got their start in 2000, when they arranged rallies in Liberty County and Kerrville, Texas. Two years later, they found their permanent home in Bandera. Let’s take a look at the two major events they currently host.

Boerne’s Hill Country Mile

In the hustle of modern American life, it’s easy to lose sight of an important cultural fact: it’s difficult to get everything done on your daily to-do list without a car. Too many towns have been designed with outwardly-expanding sectors of commerce that put one business or attraction miles away from another. The larger the size of the town, the more true this adage seems to be.

We were greeted by and older gentlemen as soon as we got to the house. He wanted to make sure we knew where everything was like lights above the sink, how to work the remote, and talk about a museum near by. The place was very cute and quiet. The view was spectacular. Everything was clean with the exception of something sticky to the right of the refridgerator. It was our 1st time in Bandera, TX, but we know it won't be our last.

We truly enjoyed staying at the place. Super clean & comfortable. The owner is so friendly and came by to check on us! We will come back to Bandera!

Great place and great location. Very clean and great host!

The cottage is part of a larger residence that sits on a property with a main house. The guest portion of the cottage has a wraparound porch that overlooks Bandera and offers wonderful views of then hill country. The name “Sunset Cottage” is an apt descriptor for this charming retreat. The owners are delightful and greeted us shortly after arrival to ensure we had all we needed. He checked in on us each day. The cottage is well-appointed and has everything short of food you would need for a stay. It was impeccably clean and well maintained. The cottage has a fire pit complete with wood, fire starters, and forks for your s’mores adventures. The owners urged us to visit the Bandera Natural History Museum which is about a 7-min drive from the cottage. They have purchased passes for guests to use and we are so glad we listened to him! The museum was a labor of love of Juan Infante and all the specimen within the museum were from his private collection. It was fascinating and the volunteers so knowledgeable! Kids would LOVE this place - this 50-year-old kid did! Do yourself a favor - if you’re looking for a solo or romantic getaway, considering staying here. You won’t be disappointed. My husband and I will be returning!

Highly recommended.; beautiful location and hilltop views; especially the sunsets from the covered porch. Warm personable hosts made our stay wonderful; quiet; peaceful. - just what we were looking for. We will be back for another visit.

This is one of two suites in a cottage on a ridge that overlooks the beautiful hill country horizon south of the town of Bandera. The cottage is situated in a small rural neighborhood near the intersection of State Hwy 136 and Ranch Road 1077. As you can see from the pictures, there is a porch along the side of the cottage which you will have all to yourself, and it opens out to a large yard. When we sat quietly on the porch or looked out the window, we would occasionally see deer and other wildlife cross through the yard especially at dawn or near sunset. Also the iconic County Courthouse, although about a mile away, is clearly visible in the distance from the porch and through the windows. The owners live on another part of the property, not in the cottage. They are wonderful people and respect your privacy. Because of the location, it's possible to access Bandera City Park, Hill Country State Natural Area, and most of the area ranch resorts without driving through town. The State Natural Area is about 20 minutes away. On the other hand, if you drive through town you can reach Love Creek Orchards about 20 minutes to the west, and Real Ale Project and Hill Country Cellars Winery, which are less than 10 minutes to the east. We stayed here 4 days and had a really wonderful time!
