The Spirit of the Hill Country: Where Texas History and Adventure Meet

There’s a certain feeling you get when you step into the Texas Hill Country — a quiet mix of wonder, freedom, and belonging. Everything at the lodge was wonderful. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped, the outdoor spaces were numerous and comfortable, and the game room was fun. It was especially great that each bedroom had it's own bathroom - a real plus. We got several wonderful comments from the family members who stayed with us. We would definitely stay again if the opportunity arose.
Rita
Most places I stay are not fully equipped for someone to cook there… this kitchen… whole house actually was spectacular! The owners went above and beyond to make us comfortable! Firewood was stacked indoors and out in case we wanted to use it… Coffee, tea flavored water set up… a snack station… they went above anyone’s expectations on hospitality!!! First rate quiet place to stay!!! You were surrounded by deer, axis deer, Canadian geese with just hatched babies, a Cooper’s hawk on a nest right behind us…and much more! So peaceful and quiet! Going back!!!
Nicola
The kitchen was perfect for our large family. The house was super clean and the host had decorated it so cute for the holidays. We loved the trails you can hike on around the house. The deer were amazing and my sons caught some fish in the ponds. The hosts are super gracious and kind. We had an amazing time.
Nicole
This Lodge and property were beautiful. The hosts were incredible and so kind and accommodating. So much to do here, so much space and close to town, though you felt like you were on your own private ranch. We will absolutely be staying here again and couldn't be happier with having chosen this property for our stay.

I don't think I could have enough room to share how wonderful our 5 days were at Forse Mountain. We came in for my daughter's wedding in the Hill Country and true to their description it was a GREAT place to have all of the family under one roof. We so enjoyed the solitude of the surroundings, the hospitality of the owners, hiking the property, kayaking, fishing, a fire-pit all so needed in the midst of wedding prep hard working days. It may just become a family reunion spot for us!
Patty
We had such a great time at this beautiful property. The pictures do no justice, the house and the outside were just breathtaking. The host were so inviting we can't wait to go back with our family. There were snacks when we arrived that everyone enjoyed as well. The property owners went above and beyond to make sure all of our needs were taken care of. We can't wait to visit with them soon.
