What’s in a Name: Nameless, Texas

About five miles northeast of Lago Vista, and three north of Jonestown, you’ll find remnants of an interesting Hill Country ghost town. Nameless, Texas, never reached even 100 residents, and its overall history was fairly ordinary, but at the heart of its history is one of the most frustrating examples of governmental bureaucracy you’ll find anywhere.

Stunning oasis! Very well cared for property. Loved the chickens keeping the critters away, bat houses keeping the bugs at a low, Miller the dog keeping watch on our kids, and friendly cat keeping us company. The feel of serenity was the best. So calm and wonderful. We loved the pond. Thank you for stopping to chat for a moment. We will definitely come stay again when we visit Bandera!

We've been visiting Bandera twice a year in almost 7 years now. This place was the best place we've stayed. Private, peaceful, and beautiful settings. We love the chickens and some deer sightings.

Beautiful place. Exactly as described and one of the best-maintained and cleanest Air Bnbs we’ve stayed in. Extremely clean and so charming—tastefully decorated. Very comfortable beds. Beautiful surroundings—looks and feels like Texas! We have chickens and a dog and cats at home, and it was still perfectly fitting and fun to see them here. Our kids had fun playing catch with the dog and canoeing the pond, and we enjoyed sitting outside and watching the beautiful sunset. Convenient access to surrounding towns. Would love to come back!

We had a wonderful stay at Hill Country Mirage! The pictures don't do it justice, what a very special property in one of the most beautiful areas of the hill country. If you are looking for a unique experience this is the place. With beautiful chickens free roaming, the sweetest farm dog and cat, deer grazing outside your window every morning and down to earth friendly owners who let you do your thing, this is one of the best situations I've had renting! Not to mention the house was overly supplied, with attention to detail regarding every single aspect of need. I had a few questions/concerns that I initially communicated to Backroads Reservations and they went above and beyond to answer my questions and quell my concerns, they are locals as well and a wealth of knowledge of the area. If you are remotely considering this area of Texas to visit do not hesitate and book this place, you will not be disappointed!
