The Spirit of the Hill Country: Where Texas History and Adventure Meet

There’s a certain feeling you get when you step into the Texas Hill Country — a quiet mix of wonder, freedom, and belonging. Maybe it’s the wide skies that stretch forever, or the way the hills catch the evening light just right. Maybe it’s the old stone towns, where history whispers through limestone walls, or the rivers that carve their way patiently through time. Whatever it is, this place has a spirit all its own. It’s rugged yet graceful, wild yet welcoming — the kind of place that invites you to explore, stay a while, and remember what life feels like when it’s simple and real.

We had the best time on our stay. We were blocks from where all the fun was happening and a beautiful backyard in the morning with our coffee watching the birds.

Excellent location. We walked through the entire town. Genuine Texan friendliness. Soft sheets and towels. Good king mattress. Well appointed house with thoughtful features. Fully equipped kitchen with spices and cooking oil. Fire woods, lighter, ice trays, coffee, dish washer/ laundry detergent. Lovely front porch with fragrant China lily flowering tree. Private cozy back porch. Highly recommended. Will stay again.

My husband and I were looking for a place to escape to after a busy holiday season. After reading the reviews, and looking at the pictures, of the Cherry Street home, we decided to rent it. We were not disappointed. The home was clean and comfortable, but what we enjoyed the most was its location. We could walk to the grocery store, we could walk to the restaurants, we could walk to the shops, and we walked to the courthouse in the evening to enjoy its Christmas lights. Rent this home, you will not be disappointed.

Came to relax and listen to some live music! We floated the Medina River. It is my new fav float! Saw Lorrie Morgan at 11th Street Cowboy Bar! Got to watch a re enactment of gun fight! And just some general shopping and browsing! Loved it! The house was perfect. It was very clean and updated and the decor was cute!
