Hidden Maples Hideaway is more than a Hill Country cabin—it’s a private 50-acre nature escape surrounded by limestone hills, mature hardwoods, seasonal creeks and a spring-fed pond near Medina, Texas.
Guests can explore hiking trails across the property, relax beneath the trees, watch for birds and wildlife, and enjoy exceptionally dark Hill Country skies after sunset. The landscape changes with the seasons, from spring wildflowers and lush creekside areas to the potential for beautiful fall color among the native maples and hardwoods.
The cabin sleeps up to seven guests with two bedrooms, two full bathrooms and a sleeper sofa. The primary bedroom has a king bed and private bath, while the second bedroom has two queen beds. A full kitchen, dining area for eight, wood-burning fireplace, Wi-Fi, Smart TV, washer and dryer, and multiple heating and A/C units make it comfortable in every season.
Outside, enjoy the covered front porch with mountain views, screened gazebo beneath the oaks, patio, charcoal grill and picnic table. Hiking maps are provided for exploring the ranch, along with a regional map for discovering the surrounding Hill Country.

Fall can bring color to the native maples and other hardwoods, while spring brings wildflowers and new growth. After dark, the property's secluded setting and distance from larger towns make it an excellent place to step outside and enjoy the stars.
You can spend an entire day exploring without getting in the car—and still have Lost Maples, Garner State Park, the Medina, Sabinal and Frio Rivers, and the communities of Medina, Bandera and Vanderpool within reach.

The base rate includes up to 2 guests. Additional guests are $25 per person, per night, with a maximum occupancy of 7 guests.
Cleaning fee: $175.

A truly beautiful location with ancient oak trees offering shade and framing the views towards the cliffs along the West Prong of the Medina River. Clark Creek, alongside the property was absolutely beautiful for a walk or short bike ride. The house was pleasant and contained all of the kitchen amenities that were needed for a long weekend stay. The host was more than responsive… they offered suggestions and guidance every step of the way.

I chose this location because 2 of her high school friends made arrangements for lunch at The Laurel Tree and we wanted some quality time together. This was the perfect spot! The house was the perfect size and we both really enjoyed the country air. The house was clean and the beds were quite comfortable.

The perfect getaway - the cabin is nestled in some of the most beautiful hills of Texas Hill Country. The views cannot be matched, it was a serene escape. The cabin itself was just darling, had everything you need for a quick getaway to decompress or a longer stay. It is situated close to several state parks that should not be missed! Definitely recommend this great little place for the peace and quiet, and the amazing views you get while sitting in the front porch.

Hidden Maples is quaint, cozy, and peaceful. And exactly what we were hoping for! The scenic drive out to the property was just the beginning of a perfect weekend getaway. We brought our two pups along for the stay. We enjoyed watching them romp around the property without a care in the world. The house is exactly as advertised - it is simple but has everything you need. We cooked breakfast tacos, brewed coffee, baked cinnamon rolls, and made pizza in the full kitchen. The master bed was super comfortable and huge! The front porch was the perfect spot to sit and have a drink to watch the sun set. We played games in the gazeebo and made a fire in the pit one night too. Hiking at Lost Maples was awesome, as it was only a 15 minute drive from the house. Finally, the communication from Spencer and Jess was top notch for sure! They made sure we had everything we needed and provided clear instructions. Thank you again for an amazing stay. We would definitely return!
