The Spirit of the Hill Country: Where Texas History and Adventure Meet

There’s a certain feeling you get when you step into the Texas Hill Country — a quiet mix of wonder, freedom, and belonging. Maybe it’s the wide skies that stretch forever, or the way the hills catch the evening light just right. Maybe it’s the old stone towns, where history whispers through limestone walls, or the rivers that carve their way patiently through time. Whatever it is, this place has a spirit all its own. It’s rugged yet graceful, wild yet welcoming — the kind of place that invites you to explore, stay a while, and remember what life feels like when it’s simple and real.

This place had anything and everything that you would have in your own home. This is by far the best place I have ever stayed. My parents have a timeshare and it lacks but this place was top notch. The owners live on the property and were welcoming but not in our space. Beautiful area.

We had such a wonderful stay at this cozy getaway. From the moment we arrived, the host made us feel genuinely welcome. The cabin itself was spotless, comfortable, and had that perfect “home away from home” feeling. One of our favorite parts of the trip was relaxing in the hot tub while listening to the sounds of nature. The property is surrounded by beautiful wildlife; we spotted deer wandering through the trees and enjoyed watching the birds throughout the day. It created such a peaceful, restorative atmosphere. If you’re looking for a clean, serene place to unwind, this is the spot.

This is a very sweet cabin, small yet well designed to optimize space. It offers a comfortable bed, room darkening shades, furnished kitchen, and a hot shower. The hot tub was fantastic, and the view of the milky way lovely. Enjoyed watching the jays & cardinals at the feeder, and turtles playing in the creek just behind the house. The host was very communicative and took care to ensure an excellent visit. Highly recommended for a relaxing weekend away.

Tucked away in the beautiful hill country is the most wonderful little cabin. Situated directly in front of a creek and surrounded by trees, birds, frogs, and even turtles! The cabin was spotlessly clean and the kitchen was stocked with anything you might need. There is no cell service but they do have wi-fi so you are able to choose what kind of vacation you want. We opted for a plugged-in vacation and were pleasantly surprised they had Hulu as well. The hot-tub was incredible and they had cards and dominos and other misc games. There is a small grill and a fire pit, although we didn't get to use the fire pit due to the burn ban which is A-OK. The creek had gotten some rain prior to us arriving which meant it was a little murky but still cold and a pleasure to swim. (BRING SWIM SHOES... we forgot ours and regretted it lol) We got engaged here over the weekend so it will always hold a special place in my heart. Thank you for providing a wonderful little getaway!!
Amanda
LOVED this place! Went for a relaxing weekend with my husband and our golden retriever. Cabin was quaint and super cute- exactly like the pictures with a full kitchen, which was awesome! We thought the bed was very comfy also! Tricia was wonderful and extremely helpful- great conversation as well since my husband and i are very chatty lol. The creek was warm and had enough water to lightly swim and float, which was fantastic in this Texas heat! Especially for the doggos! Cannot say enough about this fantastic spot! We will be back! Thanks again!!
Candice
Staying here was the best decision! Tricia was so amazing and sweet! They had everything we could possibly need already there for us! The picture of the bed/bedroom looked a little small and I was concerned at first, but it turned out to be perfect! We felt welcomed and they were so hospitable! Our puppies played in the water and had plenty of space to run! We were cozy and enjoyed a perfect getaway! I can’t say enough about our hosts and the location! If you are wandering if you should book this little cabin, the answer is yes! Do it!
