What’s in a Name: Nameless, Texas

About five miles northeast of Lago Vista, and three north of Jonestown, you’ll find remnants of an interesting Hill Country ghost town. Nameless, Texas, never reached even 100 residents, and its overall history was fairly ordinary, but at the heart of its history is one of the most frustrating examples of governmental bureaucracy you’ll find anywhere.

Hello Spencer and Jess! Thank you so much for renting your wonderful river house to us. The house was so cozy and comfortable. We especially appreciated how it was so thoroughly stocked with everything we needed. And wow, the location was amazing and so beautiful, and peaceful. Very therapeutic and just what we needed during this time of mourning a beloved family member. My family thought I was taking them to La Quinta, but I surprised them with your house!! They were ecstatic. David was incredibly helpful, especially when we couldn’t unlock the bathroom doors lol. Please tell David how much we appreciated all of his help. Thank you again for a wonderful stay. The front porch area was our favorite space. We saw deer and ducks in the yard. We enjoyed walking down to the river every day. The park host lives on property and was always available for any assistance or questions we had. We would definitely stay here again.

This was a great reunion for great grandma, two sons, three grand kids and three spouses, four great grandkids, and a few dogs. Everybody was geared up originally for the Frio, but after staying here, this is the place. Was everything we wished for and more. The g great kids were in the water all the time. Nothing negative I could say. Host was very attentive, was on the site and responded immediately to every inquiry. Everybody has forgotten about the Frio, because of the easy access to the water. Didn’t have to load up several cars and drive and unload. Nice little rapid that you could float down and short walk back. Peaceful as well.

We all had an awesome time at Dave’s place. We spent much of our stay outdoors enjoying the awesome view, the sound of the river, sitting by the campfire, gazing at the stars, and lounging on the front porch. We could not have had more perfect weather. The house was well stocked and there was plenty of space for the 5 of us and two dogs to enjoy. Dave was very accommodating and entertaining. We will definitely return. I would highly recommend this place.
