Property Description

Have you ever found the perfect vacation rental spot out in the country, only to find that it's SO out in the country that there's nothing nearby? You won't encounter that frustration with Lucky Star Ranch Stargazer cabin! For one thing, it's convenient to awesome Hill Country towns like Hondo and Bandera. Those who prefer the great outdoors will love the location, too, because there are state parks and natural areas that are less than an hour away; one of them, in fact, is a three-mile drive!

The Lucky Star Ranch is a must for nature lovers, with its trees and Hill Country views! What's more, though, is the Hill Country State Natural Area is just three miles down the road; it's a wonderful place to hike, ride horseback, and admire wildlife. The Lost Maples State Natural Area and Garner State Park are both within an hour's drive from your cabin, as well!

It's hard to find a more animal-friendly vacation rental than Lucky Star Ranch Stargazer cabin! The friendly goats, chickens, and ducks on the property love to be pet, and one of the "stars" is a dwarf Nigerian goat named Baby, who won first place in the Bandera 4th of July Pet Parade. You can bring along a pet, as long as they get along with farm animals and are leashed on the property; limit one pet per cabin.

Amenities begin before you even enter your guest cabin! There's a shaded porch with rocking chairs for relaxing outside, perfect for morning coffee or a nightcap. Picnic tables and a charcoal grill are here for your favorite BBQ recipes, and a fire pit (firewood included) for s'mores and conversation. Laundry facilities are also available. Keep in mind outdoor extras and games are shared with two other cabins at Lucky Star. If you'd like to bring a larger group, the three cabins here sleep up to nine!

Golden woodwork and natural light fills Lucky Star Ranch Stargazer cabin's interior, arranged in a studio layout with a bedroom, dining nook and kitchenette. The plush queen-sized bed sleeps two, and you can add a rollaway bed for one more person. The kitchenette includes a fridge, a microwave that doubles as a regular oven, a Keurig coffee maker, and basic utensils and serving ware. A Roku-ready smart TV is on hand, too, as well as Wifi service and efficient heating and cooling units. You'll have a clean full bath with a shower stall, and fresh linens are provided for both bed and bath.

The Cowboy Capital of the World: Why Bandera Still Rides Tall

There are towns in Texas with cowboy roots — and then there’s Bandera. Nestled along the Medina River, surrounded by rolling hills and wide-open ranchland, Bandera isn’t just proud of its heritage — it lives it every day. Known far and wide as the Cowboy Capital of the World, Bandera embodies the spirit of the Old West with a genuine authenticity that’s getting harder to find. Here, boots aren’t just for show, rodeos still pack the stands, and a handshake still means something.

The Spirit of the Hill Country: Where Texas History and Adventure Meet

There’s a certain feeling you get when you step into the Texas Hill Country — a quiet mix of wonder, freedom, and belonging. Maybe it’s the wide skies that stretch forever, or the way the hills catch the evening light just right. Maybe it’s the old stone towns, where history whispers through limestone walls, or the rivers that carve their way patiently through time. Whatever it is, this place has a spirit all its own. The place was cozy and just what we needed for our stay. The night skies were amazing. The hosts provided clear directions and instructions so we had no trouble getting there. The hosts were extremely helpful. We got a flat tire and they helped us change it. We will definitely stay here again!

One of my favorite air bnbs! I had a wonderful stay! The home was super clean, thoughtfully decorated, and had such a cozy, welcoming vibe. their customer service was impressive as well. I highly recommend this spot and will be staying here again in the future!

If we could give this place 10 stars we would!! Tracy is by far the absolute BEST Airbnb host we’ve ever had! She’s extremely hospitable, kind, and she instantly responds whenever you need something! She allowed us to roam around her ranch and play with the goats and her dogs! It’s a beautiful area and she helped us find things to do in the area. My wife and I had such a beautiful experience, it was a reminder there is still kind people in the world. And we will be back next month and any other time we visit Bandera TX.

We really enjoyed staying at this cabin! We liked that it was truly in the middle of nowhere and quiet. It wasn’t a far drive to hiking spots and downtown Bandera. Would definitely stay here again!
