Texas Two Step in Bandera

Property Type : Houses

Property Description

Bandera is one of the most popular towns to visit in the Hill Country, and the Texas Two Step puts you in the heart of it all! This is a kid and pet-friendly guest home that sleeps up to ten, and it's located six blocks from Main Street in the Cowboy Capital of the World. That means it's not many steps for you to do your own two-step at the 11th Street Cowboy Bar, dinner at the OST, or to enjoy many of the town's shops, restaurants, and cowboy-themed attractions. This is how you enjoy Bandera!

Also popular in Bandera is the Medina River's tubing, swimming, fishing, and kayaking, and the Texas Two Step puts you right in the action there, too! It's a block from Bandera City Park, where you can access the river for a modest fee. This alone makes the Two Step's location attractive to visitors, and as a bonus it's a 15-mile drive to the pristine beauty of the Hill Country State Natural Area. You can also enjoy horseback rides from an outfitter two blocks away; you can't get more Texas than that!

At the Two Step, you'll find entertainment literally in your back yard! There's a shaded patio with comfy outdoor seating, a fire pit to gather round for s'mores and conversation, and a gas grill where you can showcase your BBQ skills. You can play games like corn hole (bags), horseshoes, and a giant four-in-a-row setup, a jumbo version of the popular board game! Birdwatchers love the feathered friends that stop by here, and there's also covered parking for your vehicles.

The vacation home has recently been remodeled, including central air and heat for adjustable comfort. Your interior space includes a living area, a lower lounge, and a dining area and kitchen island with additional prep space and seating. The full kitchen is equipped with gleaming new appliances and all the cooking and dining ware, utensils, and glasses you'll need. Complementary coffee and spices are included, too! Tech-wise, there are three smart TVs in the Two Step, and Wifi service everywhere. You'll also find a convenient laundry room near the lower lounge.

There's sleeping space for ten at the Two Step; three bedrooms feature one king and two queen-sized beds, and there's a large sectional couch in the downstairs lounge and two air mattresses you can place where you please. The master bedroom's full bath has a shower/tub combo, and a second full bath with a shower stall is shared by the other bedrooms. Fresh and clean linens are provided for all sleeping and bath spaces.

What’s in a Name: Nameless, Texas

About five miles northeast of Lago Vista, and three north of Jonestown, you’ll find remnants of an interesting Hill Country ghost town. Nameless, Texas, never reached even 100 residents, and its overall history was fairly ordinary, but at the heart of its history is one of the most frustrating examples of governmental bureaucracy you’ll find anywhere.

Willow City: More Than Just a Loop

While working on an article about viewing bluebonnets in the Hill Country, the Willow City Loop came up came up often in our research. We dug some more and found Willow City has an interesting history beyond its scenery. With that said, we’re taking a closer look at the history and heritage of this Hill Country village.

    What guests are saying...

Wonderful place to stay while visiting Bandera. Close to town and felt private. Nice house to relax in or outdoors. Would stay here again.
My family stayed here for my sister’s ultramarathon race. Everything about this place was perfect. They had everything you’d need for cooking - pots, pans, plates, bowls, mugs, glasses. The bedrooms were very nice and each had their own tv. The backyard was amazing and I so wish our family could’ve enjoyed it but it was during the very cold Texas weather weekend. We want to come back during the summer and take full advantage of the perfect location and all the fun games they have set up in the backyard. They also went out of their way to deliver a space heater for the downstairs to help warm the area. Can’t recommend this place enough!!!
This home was in a great location and has been completely remodeled. Everything in this home is new including the pots & pans. White tail and Axis deer everywhere including the backyard. We really enjoyed our stay.
Our trip was enjoyable. We played games, walked along the river, and were constantly eating. The deer were abundant and fun to watch. The house was fantastic. It met our every need. The decorator did a super job. We will try for these accommodations next time we come to Bandera.
We loved the house! Loved the deer watching! Such a cool place! The Texas Two Step home was perfect for us! We loved the home and its accommodations. The deer that was surrounding the area was so cool! Thanks for leaving deer corn so we could feed them! We had a great time! The remodel was beautiful and more than met our expectations! We will be back again for sure!
Thank you for everything. You have a lovely home. Yesterday and today, there were a couple family of deer in the backyard! I enjoyed the eclipse and my stay at Two Step in Bandera.
