The Spirit of the Hill Country: Where Texas History and Adventure Meet

There’s a certain feeling you get when you step into the Texas Hill Country — a quiet mix of wonder, freedom, and belonging. Maybe it’s the wide skies that stretch forever, or the way the hills catch the evening light just right. Kurt
We had a wonderful stay at the Rocky River Guest House. It had everything you could possibly need. We especially enjoyed our time on the back deck watching all the birds and animals that came by. Really enjoyed feeding the deer in the evening. We spent time motorcycling in the hill country. Plenty of room to park a trailer in the front yard. Would stay here again.
Stephanie
Had a great time! Spent most of the time at the house on the beautiful back deck. Bandera is a cute town and we enjoyed every store, restaurant, and bar we went to. The host was great about communication. Would recommended this house for families and groups.
Paul
We visited Bandera for a bike rally. We arrived later in the evening than expected. Directions to house were right on. Upon offloading bikes we noticed a heard of dear on a lower platform about 50 yards from house. The house was immaculate, and much more than described. The wildlife we everywhere. If traveling by bike, use caution. All in all the stay was more than expected, and we'll worth the price paid. The owners were very responsive to any requests and even contacted us on second day to make sure everything was going well.

It gives you the feeling of staying with family. The deer and river were beautiful. Very quiet neighborhood. Thank you so much for having us. We will be back!!
