Omie's Ranch Haus in Fredericksburg

Property Type : Guest House

Property Description

Gemutlichkeit! This German word means good cheer and belonging, and it's embodied by this warm and welcoming German Ranch Haus. "Omie" is German for "Grandma," and this was home to a German couple whose family and friends filled it for years. You can almost hear their hearty laughter! The mantle was built from a cedar tree, and its stump out back has the loving couple's names carved into it. Just ten miles from Fredericksburg, this beautiful home is nestled in breathtaking Hill Country scenery. ========= COVID-19 UPDATE: This accommodation is open for business. Backroads Reservations is aware of the proper cleaning and disinfecting measures needed between guests. We have provided this guidance to our hosts and housekeepers so that everyone takes the necessary precautions to protect the health of our guests, hosts and housekeepers alike. Clare I
Bing, Debbie, and their property were absolutely fantastic! I cannot rave more about our 2 night stay in May 2020. First, when you enter the property, you feel the care and attention that has been put into everything. Then, you see how very clean the entire site is. If you love sitting under a porch, this is the property for you! They have a complete wrap-around porch - simply grab your coffee in the early morning and sit quietly to hear the deer, cattle, sheep, all the birds, and of course the hummingbirds (when in season). Or, gather near the porch swing or the fire pit for a good ole chat. We are definitely coming back again and again! Thank you Bing and Debbie for an unforgettable visit!!!!
