My fiancée and I can't say enough nice things about our stay at this cabin. The amenities and property are truly fantastic and a perfect opportunity to get away to a relaxing place. Butch was a wonderful host and very receptive every time we spoke with him. Also, the horses are just the icing on the property, would stay again in a heartbeat.

Was hunting a nice, quiet cabin to spend our 12th wedding anniversary and my birthday. Wow, did we ever find exactly what we wanted. Upon our arrival the owner, Butch, greeted us with information about the cabin and the surrounding area places of interest. Such a nice and welcoming host for our stay. The cabin is exactly like presented on this site. The views are beautiful, the animals plentiful, the cabin itself small but the ambience makes up for that. We stayed outside on the porch or walking around the property most of the time. Probably the favorite cabin we have ever stayed in and we travel a lot. We will certainly come back to this cabin for another quiet, peaceful few days at some point. Thanks Butch and Backroad's Reserverations.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The way the property is laid out, you feel like you are the only ones within miles, although there are properties nearby. Nice views of the surrounding hills. Enjoyed having the horses grazing outside each morning. The cabin is attractive and comfortable, with ample amenities. An electric entry gate would be a nice addition for the future. Close proximity to Bandera and Boerne. Butch, our host was attentive without being intrusive.

This may be my favorite cabin we have rented, because of the setting. Located almost midway between Bandera and Boerne, It sits on 5 acres, and there are no close neighbors visible, so we had great privacy, but with all the windows we had an expansive view of the surrounding hills. The porch and patio call you to be outside, and we didn’t see a single mosquito. The two horses are in the yard during the morning hours, adding to the peaceful scene. The cabin itself is relatively new, and well appointed, with a full size fridge, stovetop (no oven), a microwave, and regular coffee maker (coffee provided, but bring your own creamer). The tap water has a strong sulfur smell, but ample jugs of purified water are provided. The bed is comfortable. Good cell service with Verizon, and host said Wi-fi was coming the week after we left. Butch, our host, was very attentive without being intrusive. The one improvement we would have liked is a motorized gate with a keypad. We stayed several days, and manually opening and closing it grew old. But this place is relatively new, and I expect will experience regular enhancements.

Nice place situated between Bandera and Bourne. Very peaceful private place. Owners home a few 100 yds away but out of sight. Good knowing he is near in case we need something. He welcomed us, really nice and helpful guy. Cabin has been recently refurbished with new furniture. Horses show up in AM to say hello. Lots of wildlife. We enjoyed our time.
