The Spirit of the Hill Country: Where Texas History and Adventure Meet

There’s a certain feeling you get when you step into the Texas Hill Country — a quiet mix of wonder, freedom, and belonging. Maybe it’s the wide skies that stretch forever, or the way the hills catch the evening light just right. Maybe it’s the old stone towns, where history whispers through limestone walls, or the rivers that carve their way patiently through time. Whatever it is, this place has a spirit all its own. It’s rugged yet graceful, wild yet welcoming — the kind of place that invites you to explore, stay a while, and remember what life feels like when it’s simple and real.

This is a really special spot. The property is incredibly private and easy to miss if you aren't looking for it. The views are some of the best you will get in the hill country, great for morning coffee and watching sunsets. The hot tub is such a very nice touch. The property management team was very responsive throughout the entire trip. There's a lot to do in the area, but a lot of our time was spent at the property relaxing in seclusion. It was great!

Enjoyed my weekend stay. The drive up the hills was steep with curvy roads but worth the views! The front gate and front door were easy to access. Clean beds, kitchen and bathrooms. Upstairs area is a little hot for sleeping at night now that the Texas weather is warming up but nothing a extra fan can’t fix! The patio area with hot tub was perfect for sunset hour. Would come back here!

We had a wonderful 3 day stay at this hill country gem. Plenty of room for four adults and one kiddo. The place has a bit of a tiny home feel, but it’s well-appointed with great artistic touches. The house is located at a high point on one of Texas’ most beautify scenic roads, so just getting around is an experience. The view from the porch is gorgeous. Great 180 degree visibility of the rolling hills with nearly no buildings in view, and only one far off light visible in the dark night. Sunsets were amazing and we spent evenings sitting out on the comfy patio furniture. We brought our dog who loved playing fetch in the wide clearing that leads to the fire pit. There’s a short trail on the property along the ridge line that leads to a peaceful bench about 50 paces from the house. We enjoyed using the wood burning stove in the living room and watching movies on the wireless projector. I didn’t see this mentioned in the listing, but there’s also a Tesla charger at the house.

We had a wonderful girls' weekend at this property! The location was absolutely beautiful with stunning views, and we made great memories relaxing in the hot tub while taking in the scenery. Check-in and check-out were seamless, and the spacious deck was perfect for enjoying our morning coffee. The interior is also cozier than the photos suggest, so this place really shines if you're planning to spend most of your time outdoors exploring the area or on that fantastic deck, which we did. Overall, we had a lovely time enjoying the fall foliage and nearby parks. Would definitely recommend for guests looking for a beautiful outdoor retreat!

The layout of the home was beautiful and maximized space. I traveled with my mom who is in her late 70s and uses a walker. She was able to navigate the bathroom, kitchen, living room, and deck well. We appreciated the privacy and incredible views. This place provides a true sense of “Hill Country” in Texas. The set up of the living room, master bedroom, deck, and hot tub are perfectly designed to appreciate the beauty of the hills.
Rajiv
Beautiful view from this property, watching the sunrise was a highlight of our stay. Definitely would return.
