Property Description

Add some Texas magic to your next visit to the Cowboy Capital of the World by booking a stay at the Cypress Star in Bandera! This is a spacious, kid and pet-friendly Hill Country vacation home with plush sleeping accommodations for up to a dozen people. It's nestled in a peaceful neighborhood setting that has a private, out-in-the-country feel to it, yet it's only a few blocks away from downtown Bandera, and attractions like the 11th Street Cowboy Bar and the splashing fun of the Medina River!

Cypress Star is a short walk to Bandera City Park, which accesses the Medina River for a modest fee. Additionally, you have the option to have fun with disc golf, visit a skateboard park, utilize two playgrounds, or embark on horseback rides offered by a nearby outfitter just two blocks away. This makes it one of our most popular vacation homes, but there's so much going on right on the property, you may find it hard to drag yourself away! The fenced backyard provides safety for kids and pets. There are shaded porches out front and back, adorned with outdoor furniture. And we're just getting started!

We have a pool room with a pool table for hours of indoor fun. Outside, you can entertain on the back porch with a built-in bar, beverage cooler, and Roku-equipped smart TV. There's also a fire pit and a pellet grill/smoker combo for outdoor cooking - and yes, firewood is provided! After sunset, snuggle up with your special someone under the string lights that twinkle over the patio and the grove - pure Hill Country magic.

Did we mention the cowboy pool? It's open seasonally from May through September, and when it's filled, it's a must for a refreshing cowboy-style dip! And don't miss the croquet field in the grove, fully outfitted with equipment and even beer holders. (Please return the croquet gear to the house when you're done.)

The roomy interior offers comfort, thanks to central air (split mini units in the bunk room), ceiling fans, and a fireplace in the back (the front fireplace is ornamental). There are two comfy seating areas, the larger of which has a Roku-equipped smart TV. The full kitchen includes all the appliances, cooking and serving ware, and utensils your crew will need, alongside a dining area and coffee bar. Added conveniences include Wifi Internet service and a washer and dryer.

Three bedrooms, along with an additional bunk room, provide great sleep space for up to a dozen people (please be aware the bunk room is only available for groups of more than six). That's one king-sized bed, two queens, and two sets of queen and twin bunk beds in all! The master bedroom and bunk room have their own smart TVs. Two spotlessly-clean full bathrooms are shared among the sleeping spaces, and have shower and tub combos for your cleanup needs. Fresh bed and bath linens are provided for everyone.

WOW, WOW, WOW This place is amazing. Even the drive along Cypress street is picturesque with deer wondering the streets. The house itself is Beautiful. The vast garden. The path down to the river, where we had so much fun. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your home. Bandera is truly beautiful with some of the most friendly people I have ever come across.
Stephanie
Our stay was awesome, the hosts were super friendly and the accommodations were excellent. The rooms were decorated beautifully and the bunk room was a hit with all the kids. The pool and fire pit were awesome. Would definitely stay at this location again!
Audra
Our family, a group of 9, stayed at the Cypress Star for my nieces high school graduation. The home had everything we needed for such a large party staying at the home. The home is big enough to get away from everyone for some alone time. However, everyone can go out back and spend time together grilling, talking, swimming or watching the deer. We will come back if we're ever in the area again. Thanks so much.
Adam
Property was great. Just a few block from 11th street. Owners stayed in touch to make sure everything was great, and it was.
Christopher
The property exceeded our expectations. There was so much to do and if needed, it’s a great place to relax. A lot of deer to observe, too! The house was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. We would definitely stay here again without hesitation.
Kay
I 100% recommend this home. The backyard is beautiful and large enough for family gatherings. The home was well-equipped, and the beds were comfortable. We had a wonderful stay and can't wait to return.
