For your next Hill Country getaway, come discover why Bandera is called the Cowboy Capital of the World! There's no better way to experience and celebrate their heritage than a stay at the Bandera Suite at the Carriage House Inn. Beyond everything cowboy-related, Bandera has incredible cuisine, shopping options, and night life, like the 11th Street Cowboy Bar that's right across the alley from the inn. Make Bandera your next holiday stop, and put yourself right in the middle of all the action!

The Bandera Suite sleeps four people, but we'd like to bring to your attention that the Carriage House Inn provides comfort for up to 25 guests! There are five spacious suites in the inn itself, along with a separate cabin on the same property. So, no matter how many of your folks you'd like to bring along to Bandera, there are several options available to you to perfectly accommodate everyone; not to mention you could have the entire place to yourself. Just ask us for details!

Behind the inn is an area shared with other guests. The back yard features a charcoal-fired BBQ pit for cowboy-style feasts, an outdoor fireplace around which you can share stories, and plenty of furniture. After dark, string lights give the back yard a special sparkle. You'll have direct access to the shaded porch up front with Adirondack chairs, a porch swing, and a great view of a vintage Wild West-era carriage on the property. Small, well-behaved dogs are allowed at this pet-friendly and kid-friendly rental. First-come, first-served covered parking is provided for the inn rooms, and additional street parking is available.

The Bandera Suite is decorated with antique pieces that evoke the cowboy era, and they work together with items of modern comfort! For example, the guest suite has efficient AC and heating units, along with tech and entertainment pluses like Wifi service and a satellite TV. The full kitchen includes a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker, along with an oven and stove combo. There are also pots, pans, glasses, and utensils on hand.

The Bandera Suite offers two bedrooms, one with a cozy king-sized bed and the other with a queen bed, comfortably accommodating up to four guests. For added comfort on cooler nights, the suite also features an electric fireplace. The pristine full bathroom includes a shower/tub combo with a charming antique cast iron tub. Fresh linens are provided for both the bed and bath, along with thoughtful extras like an ironing board and hair dryer.

The Spirit of the Hill Country: Where Texas History and Adventure Meet

There’s a certain feeling you get when you step into the Texas Hill Country — a quiet mix of wonder, freedom, and belonging. Maybe it’s the wide skies that stretch forever, or the way the hills catch the evening light just right. Maybe it’s the old stone towns, where history whispers through limestone walls, or the rivers that carve their way patiently through time. Whatever it is, this place has a spirit all its own. It’s rugged yet graceful, wild yet welcoming — the kind of place that invites you to explore, stay a while, and remember what life feels like when it’s simple and real.

Had a great stay at this fantastic property. It is well described in the write up and walkable to Main Street. It’s across the street from a great live music place.

Our first impression driving up to the house was we really lucked out. My wife and I both love older houses charm and this one did not disappoint. The tall ceilings, spacious rooms, and clawfoot bath tub were inviting. You also have an entire kitchen at your disposal. The back yard is also large with multiple sitting areas. The location is perfect for walking to restaurants or shops. You are also in close proximity to ride the Twisted Sisters for motorcycle enthusiasts like us. We loved everything about staying here. The Carriage Inn is the only place we want to stay at when visiting Bandera and the surrounding areas. We will definitely be back.
Christian
Nice place. Went for the eclipse but even if we didn't see it due to the weather, Bandera is a nice small city to spend a few days in and the Inn is nicely located in a very nice looking old house. We enjoyed it.
