Property Description

Texas often conjures images of wide-open spaces with iconic Longhorn cattle roaming freely, a quiet and beautiful space where you're free to enjoy your time in any way you see fit. The Ranchito Cabin just north of Hondo offers all that Texas Hill Country beauty and peace, with comforts and amenities that come together to create a wonderful countryside getaway for your entire family. For those with a taste for city fun, towns like Hondo, Bandera, Pipe Creek, and Lakehills are also close by!

It wouldn't be a real ranch without actual Longhorns, which often visit the guest house. Though the cattle are friendly, we ask that guests keep a respectable distance, and they'll do the same. You can bring a well-behaved pet, but only if you believe they'll act tamely around the Longhorns. If you'd like to explore the property further, there are 40 acres and over two miles of marked hiking trails.

This remote, private and spacious vacation rental sits on a hilltop that gives 30-mile views of the Hill Country in all directions. Savor those views from the shaded patio, gathered around the fire pit , or in the soothing waters of the nine-person hot tub. This location is perfect for viewing colorful sunsets and star-filled night skies! The kids will love the playscape here, and there's also a gas grill for BBQ cookouts. For mutual well-being, a release of liability is required; also, smoking is allowed only outdoors. If you'd like to bring a larger group, please ask us about RV spot and hookup availability!

The cabin is filled with decor and furnishings in warm earth tones to give it a rustic and welcoming look. The three bedrooms have two queen beds, a full bunk bed set, and a trundle bed, which provide warm sleeping space for up to nine. Two full baths-the master has a shower, and the second a shower/tub combo-are both are furnished with clean linens, as are all the sleeping spaces. A washer and dryer combo provide cleanup convenience, and a full kitchen with appliances, cookware, serving ware, utensils, and glasses is yours to enjoy, with a dining table that seats six. The living area features a Blue Ray DVD-ready, Roku TV (no local channels), plenty of plush furniture, and a toasty fireplace.. Central air, heat, and ceiling fans keep the entire cabin to your liking year-round. There's even a dedicated workspace in the second bedroom, with Wifi Internet throughout the cabin!

Fabulous stay. Awesome for kids. Very nice hikes around the property. Cool playground. Breathtaking sunsets. We decided not to leave the property the whole time as it had plenty of offerings for a two nights stay. Place might need a few minor touch ups including replacing the older mattress set in the second room. Just be mindful while hiking as you're in the heart of Texas and sight of snakes and scorpions are common but don't miss having some adventures on this beautiful ranch. We will be back!

Incredible views! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. House and property were well kept. Hot tub was clean and well functioning. The cows came to visit on a few occasions, which the kids loved. It was a very pleasurable stay, overall.

Would absolutely stay again! Great trip, this was our second week staying! Highly recommend. They have an amazing app to help the process be seamless! We had to reach out with a question and they responded immediately. As far as AirBnB hosts go, they are top tier!! Would recommend them to anyone! Don't hesitate to book, you won't want to miss out on this stay!

Lovely hilltop house with views in every direction. A couple beds were a bit too mushy for us middle aged athletes, though the master bedroom bed was fine. The hot tub did not stay at the set temp but we were grateful to have it after our race. It was great to have 2 bathrooms for the four of us.

This place was awesome and totally secluded. We loved it there. The peacefulness was amazing. The house was clean and just like the pictures. If you need a getaway from the busy life this is the place. We are totally going back. The longhorns and the hotube were a plus too. I just can't say enough nice things about this place.

Best place to spend time with family & lots of activities to do. We booked only for 2 nights but wish we could book for more time to enjoy the whole amenities this place offers. The home was very clean, spacious & very cozy. We played games & in the night enjoyed the scenery along with some s’mores....Thank you for allowing us to stay in your home. It was the best experience we have had. We wished to have book more days as this place offers a lot of amenities to do. Home was very clean and cozy. My family enjoyed this vacation. Also the beds & sofas were very comfortable enjoying our family chats. The coffee Keurig was awesome as we drink a lot of coffee. Also we reviewed the photo album & history of the home and you have a very beautiful & strong family legacy in building that home. Thank you
