The place was very comfortable and very clean, we like staying in Median because it is close to everything. We went to the Natural Bridge Caverns, Borne shopping, Fredericksburg shopping and Lost Maples state park hiking. We were there for a week the river was low but we still enjoyed, the only complaint we had was there was on place for our clothing or put our luggage. I will definitely return and definitely recommend the place because we enjoyed it so much.

Awesome doesn’t describe it! Perfection isn’t even the right word! Granny Smith’s is everything home and so much more. Plenty of space for the whole family. The most well stocked kitchen we’ve encountered in an AirBnB stay. Comfortable beds, great water pressure in the shower and spotless clean. That’s just the inside…the outside is more than amazing. Watch the deer graze from the back deck furnished with comfortable patio pieces while you drink coffee in the morning or a glass of iced tea in the evening. A short walk down a beautiful hill landscaped by our Creator is a most serene, breathtaking, beautiful running river with crystal clear cool water. All this with no mosquitoes! Granny Smith’s is perfectly situated between all the places to be. You must check out Backroads guidebook to the hill country. There is so much we would’ve missed had we ignored it. We will most definitely be back!! There is more yet for us to explore!

We had a lovely quiet family Thanksgiving weekend away from all the craziness. We wandered the tiny town and even drove into nearby Kerrville to hike. The house was adorable and well stocked, though there was some confusion with lighting and quite a few burned out bulbs.

We were looking for a place to spend some quiet time social distancing, and we wanted access to the river. This place had it all and so much more. The location of the property is just perfect with the Medina River running through the backyard. The kids made friends with a duck and tried to fish. It was the cleanest coldest water I’ve ever seen. The house is so roomy! The pictures don’t do it justice. All the furniture is super cute. The place is spotlessly clean, there are plenty of towels and the kitchen is well stocked. Add the grill in the back porch and you will have everything you need to have a great time. We also enjoyed the wildlife: deer in the mornings and evenings, armadillos, ducks, goats, hawks, beautiful birds, but magically no mosquitoes. We brought our yoga matts and did yoga under the trees in the mornings. And to top it all off there is a place right across the street that sells the best pies in Texas. What else could you ask for?

Granny Smith's was a wonderful little cottage to stay in during our visit. It is such a quaint and peaceful property located on the river. We were in town for a wedding, and it was a quick visit but we wish we would have had more time to explore the area. It's a short drive to Kerrville and Bandera for eating and shopping. The area is so beautiful. Susie had everything we needed at the house for a great stay. The house was perfect for my husband, mom, three kids & myself. The only thing that would have made our trip any better was a rocking chair on the porch! :) Hope to visit again soon!

We really enjoyed this weekend away from the busy city. The home is quaint and very nice inside, and the wood floors give it warmth. All kitchen appliances worked and so we were able to do cooking easily. The back porch looking out across a large grass and tree area, heading down to the creek was most wonderful. Very enjoyable for 2-4 people. Looking forward to staying again sometime in the future!
